The Instructor will work as part of a team dedicated to success of students registered in our Tech, Trades, and Mining programs.  The instructor will provide lecture, lab, and field instruction to students; keep inventory of equipment; organize and supervise student field trips; and participate in course material development. Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to math, physics, chemistry, safety, telecommunications, and measurements.  The instructor is also responsible for monitoring and providing feedback on student progress; maintaining tools/supplies; submitting required paperwork to Northlands College and affiliated agencies; and other duties as assigned
 
The minimum qualifications for this position are: Engineering Diploma or Degree; member of, or eligible for certification with SASTT as an A.Sc.T. or with APEGS and a P. Eng.; Two years of recent/relevant experience in the engineering field; effective communication and interpersonal skills; effective instructional ability; and a thorough understanding of northern Saskatchewan Indigenous culture is a definite asset.  A relevant combination of education and experience may be considered.
 
Accrediting Institute:  Saskatchewan Polytechnic – Instructor must meet Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s accreditation requirements.

The Practical Nursing Instructor is responsible for providing instruction in all aspects of the Practical Nursing program and preparing students to write the SALPN Practical Nursing Exam.  Courses include, but are not limited to: Administration of Medications; Anatomy and Physiology 1-2; Personal and Professional Relationships 1-3; Health and Healing 1-3; Health Challenges 1-3; Introductory Pharmacology; Nursing Arts 1-3; Nursing Transitions; and Sociology 1-3.  The Instructor is also responsible for monitoring and providing feedback and student progress; submitting required paperwork to Northlands College and affiliated agencies; and other duties as assigned.

Distance Education Instructor Aide, La Ronge, SK

The Distance Education Instructor Aide will work in a learning centre environment to provide adults registered in distance education modes of post-secondary subjects with educational support. This support will include assisting students with all their learning needs, promoting a positive learning environment, monitoring a computer lab, maintaining building and equipment security, promoting distance education learning skills, promoting distance education opportunities, and working as part of a team dedicated to increasing student retention and success, as well as other duties as assigned.

The minimal qualifications for this position are a relevant two year post-secondary diploma however applicants with a relevant University degree will be given preference; strong computer skills; recent/relevant experience in distance education; strong communication and interpersonal skills; and experience working with adults in a cross-cultural learning environment is an asset.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
