Bachelor of Education

Elementary/Middle Years

Students may complete the four-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree program offered by the College of Education, University of Saskatchewan through Northlands College.  This program is designed for those who want to teach students in Kindergarten through Grade 8. The curriculum offers a general approach to various subjects to provide a wide exposure to the subjects and teaching methods you will use in elementary and middle years classrooms.  You will specialize in two teaching areas to concentrate your expertise in the subjects of Indigenous Studies and Science or English Language Arts.  You will also enroll in Education classes in your first year.

In the Bachelor of Education – Elementary/Middle Years program, you will receive training to teach Kindergarten through Grade 8; however, once you graduate and after you receive your Saskatchewan teaching certificate, you will be certified to teach any grade from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
