We are currently recruiting for a Distance Education Instructor Aide who will work as part of a team dedicated to the success of students registered in university classes.  The Instructor Aide will work in a learning centre environment to provide students with educational support.  This support will include assisting students with all their learning needs; promoting a positive learning environment; monitoring a computer lab; maintaining building and equipment security; promoting distance education learning skills; promoting distance education opportunities; working as part of a team dedicated to increasing student retention and success; and other duties as assigned.
 
The minimal qualifications for this position are a relevant two year post-secondary diploma however applicants with a relevant University degree will be given preference; strong computer skills; recent/relevant experience in distance education; strong communication and interpersonal skills; and experience working with adults in a cross-cultural learning environment is an asset.

We are currently recruiting for an Environmental Sciences Instructor who will work as part of a team dedicated to the success of students registered in our Environmental Sciences program and other Technical programs at our campus.  The instructor will provide lecture, lab and field instruction to students; keep inventory of equipment; organize and supervise student field trips; and participate in course material development.  Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to: Ecology and Field Biology, Field Botany and Plant Taxonomy, Inorganic and Organic Chemistry, Environmental Sustainability, Maps, Air photos, and GPS, GIS and Remote Sensing, and Scientific Writing and Computer Applications.
 
The minimal qualifications for this position are a Bachelor of Education Degree with a Professional A Teaching Certificate, a major in Biology is a definite asset. Also required are strong communication, interpersonal, and instructional skills.  A thorough understanding of northern Saskatchewan Indigenous Culture is a definite asset.  This program is accredited through Lakeland College, the instructor must meet the accrediting institute’s requirements.

Northlands College is looking for a highly motivated individual to manage our Adult Basic Education programs.  Reporting to the Vice President, Academic, the Manager participates directly in the decision making process that establishes overall college operation and performance levels.  This is an out-of-scope position. 
 
As a member of the management team, the Adult Basic Education Manager is responsible for program management; managing the implementation of the College’s program planning and development process; overseeing the administration and curriculum development; facilitating and coordinating needs assessments for northern Saskatchewan; managing the program budget process including contract administration, record keeping and reporting procedures; managing the program evaluation and monitoring process; participating in the preparation of the college’s annual report; and other duties as assigned.  Extensive travel throughout northern Saskatchewan is required.  For a copy of this job description please email hr@northlandscollege.sk.ca
 
The minimal qualifications for this position is a Master’s Degree in Education or relevant field however a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field will be considered.  Also required is a knowledge of educational methodology and administration, five years of experience related to training, knowledge of the principles and techniques of human resource management, a practical knowledge of program funding, and budget development and administration.  A thorough understanding of northern Saskatchewan Indigenous culture is a definite asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
 
The successful candidate will have effective verbal and written communication skills, strong leadership skills, a high degree of organizational skills, team building skills, an ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, a high degree of interpersonal skills, conceptual skills and analytical ability, effective decision making and problem solving skills, and effective supervisory skills.
 
Salary Range: $ 84,131 - $ 97,482 per year depending on education and experience.
