We are currently recruiting for an Adult Essential Skills Level 1 & 2 Instructor who will provide instruction and tutorial support to adults registered in the program. Areas of instruction include math, reading, science, communications, and Work/Life Skills.
Additional duties include; classroom management; taking attendance and submitting it on a regular basis; monitoring student progress and submitting reports on a regular basis; and other duties as assigned.
The minimal qualifications for this position are; Bachelor of Education Degree; Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate; Knowledge of and training in Adult Education principles and practices, and a proven ability to facilitate adult learners is also required. The preferred candidate will have working knowledge of the Adult Basic Education levels and the associated learning outcomes, as well as instructional experiences in a cross-cultural adult educational setting. Strong planning, organizational and classroom management skills are essential. Familiarity with blended learning principles and PLATO Learning Environment is desirable. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

The Employability Assessment Program Instructor will be responsible for delivering all aspects of the program. Areas of instruction include but are not limited to; goal setting, value exploration, math skills/english skills, resume preparation, self esteem building, writing skills, time/schedule management and introduction to budgeting.
Additional responsibilities include:
• classroom management;
• taking attendance and submitting it on a regular basis;
• monitoring student progress and submitting reports on a regular basis; setting up and monitoring work placements if required; and
• other duties as assigned.
The minimal qualifications for this position are:
• a Bachelor of Education Degree;
• Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate
• strong communication and interpersonal skills.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
