We are currently recruiting for an Adult Essential Skills Level 1 & 2 Instructor who will provide instruction and tutorial support to adults registered in the program. Areas of instruction include math, reading, science, communications, and Work/Life Skills.

Additional duties include; classroom management; taking attendance and submitting it on a regular basis; monitoring student progress and submitting reports on a regular basis; and other duties as assigned.

The minimal qualifications for this position are; Bachelor of Education Degree; Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate; Knowledge of and training in Adult Education principles and practices, and a proven ability to facilitate adult learners is also required. The preferred candidate will have working knowledge of the Adult Basic Education levels and the associated learning outcomes, as well as instructional experiences in a cross-cultural adult educational setting. Strong planning, organizational and classroom management skills are essential. Familiarity with blended learning principles and PLATO Learning Environment is desirable. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Automotive Service Prep Instructor, Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan

We are currently recruiting for an Automotive Service Prep Instructor who will be responsible for instructing all courses related to the program which include both classroom and hands-on training.  Courses of instruction include, but are not limited to: Automotive Electronics; Body and Trim; Charging systems; Engines; General Shop Procedures; Starting Systems; and Vehicle Inspections and Maintenance. 
 
Additional duties include; classroom management; essential skills and job readiness instruction;
taking attendance and submitting on a regular basis; monitoring student progress and submitting reports on a regular basis; and other duties as assigned.
 
The minimal qualifications for this position are; Grade 12 or equivalent; Journeyperson Certification in the Automotive Service Technician/Technology (MVMR) trade or a Journeyperson Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be considered; recent relevant automotive post-Journeyperson experience (2 years in the last 5); effective communication skills (written and oral), interpersonal skills, and instructional ability.  
 
Accrediting Institute:  Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technology – Instructor must meet Saskatchewan Indian Institute’s accreditation requirements.
