In the Carpentry program, students receive both classroom instruction and the practical hands-on training needed to work in the trade.

Applicants should be physically mobile and capable of moderate lifting. The ideal candidate will possess good problem-solving skills, basic mathematical skills, and work well both independently and as part of a team.

Graduates of this program may be eligible for credit towards apprenticeship training and may find employment with construction companies, contractors, or maintenance departments.

A two-week work placement will be required at the end of this program. When possible, students are placed with local contractors and travel is not required. Drug testing and/or Criminal Record Checks may be required at the discretion of the work placement agency.
