Mental Health & Wellness (Year 2 of 2)

Accreditation: Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies  FQFA

This program fulfills the second year of study for a two-year Mental Health & Wellness diploma.

Applicants must have completed Year 1 of the Mental Health & Wellness program with a minimum 60% average in all courses.

Students will continue to learn and apply Indigenous and Western-based holistic approaches to healing and addictions counselling. Students in the program are expected to maintain a positive and healthy lifestyle and show strong professionalism in the field.

Students will be required to participate in two six-week field placements which may involve overnight travel.

Accepted applicants will be required to provide:
• evidence of a Vulnerable Sector Check

Note: A positive result on the VSC may result in the loss of your accepted seat. Students must meet the minimum VSC criteria set out by the practicum agency.
