Mental Health & Wellness – Diploma Year 1 of 2

Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technology credential eligible  FQFA

It takes emotional maturity, good people skills and a strong sense of self to become an addictions counsellor. If you’re interested, the Mental Health & Wellness Diploma program can provide the training you will need.

Extensive training hours and experiential learning qualify you for jobs with community-based agencies, health regions, non-profit organizations, school systems and private companies. Look for a position as a treatment counsellor, addictions educator, group home worker, case manager or employee/family assistance counsellor.

Mental Health & Wellness is a two-year diploma program with both years being offered at the River Campus in Air Ronge. Throughout the Mental Health & Wellness Program, learners experience practicum placements, counselling labs, and professional mentoring and coaching. They are prepared to develop community-based education programs and to work effectively in the field of mental health, addictions, wellness, and health.
