Practical Nursing is a two-year diploma program. Onsite labs and community-based clinical experiences let students apply theory and skills in a variety of environments. Through lectures and extensive hands-on learning, students are empowered to become competent, confident nurses capable of bringing a holistic, humanistic approach to patient care.
Applicants must be proficient in the English language and should have personal and physical suitability for work in the health care industry.
Students will participate in clinical work placements involving shift work, travel outside the community, and overnight stays.
Accepted applicants will be required to provide:
• evidence of a Vulnerable Sector Check
• immunization records
Note: A positive result on the VSC may result in the loss of your accepted seat. Students must meet the minimum VSC criteria set out by the practicum agency.
