Recreation & Community Development  (Year 1 of 2)

Accreditation: Saskatchewan Polytechnic  FQFA

Students in the Recreation and Community Development program will gain the industry-specific knowledge and core management skills needed to build active, healthy, and sustainable communities.

Graduates of the two-year diploma may find employment as recreation directors, managers of sport, recreation and culture, community development officers, facility managers or special events managers.

Graduates of the Recreation and Community Development Diploma may be eligible to continue their studies on-campus at several universities to pursue a bachelor’s degree.

Some overnight travel may be required. Students should also be prepared for a practicum in Year 2.

Accepted applicants will be required to provide:
• evidence of a Vulnerable Sector Check

Note: A positive result on the VSC may result in the loss of your accepted seat. Students must meet the minimum VSC criteria set out by the practicum agency.
